Quality Checklist

Before delivering Kubernetes configurations:

  • Resource requests and limits defined
  • Liveness, readiness, and startup probes configured
  • SecurityContext with non-root user
  • ReadOnlyRootFilesystem enabled
  • Capabilities dropped (DROP ALL)
  • PodDisruptionBudget for HA workloads
  • HPA configured for scalable workloads
  • Anti-affinity rules for pod distribution
  • RBAC properly configured
  • Secrets managed securely (external secrets, sealed secrets)
  • Network policies defined
  • Ingress with TLS configured
  • Monitoring annotations present
  • Proper labels and selectors
  • Rolling update strategy configured
