# Contribution Tips & Best Practices
Project-agnostic tips and insights for successful open source contributions.
## General Principles
### Start Small

### Test Thoroughly
**Test types to consider:**
**Unit tests:**

**5. Nitpicks (optional):**

**General tips:**
- Thank reviewers for feedback
- Don't take criticism personally
- Explain reasoning clearly
- Be open to learning

- Resolve threads when addressed
### When Reviewers Disagree
**If you disagree with feedback:**
1. **Understand their perspective:**
"Could you help me understand your concern?"
2. **Explain your reasoning:**
