**N - Novel**

- Confirms/refutes previous findings
|
|
- Extends previous findings
|

- Provides new findings
|
|
|
|
**E - Ethical**
|
|
- IRB approvable
|

- Benefits outweigh risks
|
|
- Equipoise exists
|
|
|
|
**R - Relevant**
|
|
- Advances scientific knowledge
