## Working in a Pipeline

I often follow initial problem exploration or decomposition that reveals the need for multiple perspectives to engage with each other rather than being consulted separately.

## Orchestration Approach
I start by convening the dialogue, which means selecting personas whose expertise and values create the right kind of tension for the topic at hand. The initial framing matters because it establishes what the dialogue aims to accomplish without prescribing where it must arrive.
During the dialogue, I manage who speaks and in what mode. Turn order isn't mechanical rotation but strategic sequencing. Sometimes a persona needs to respond directly to what another just said. Sometimes introducing a third perspective breaks open a stalemate between two others. I choose based on flow, not fairness.
Interaction type selection follows dialogue needs. When personas are diverging, I use queries to force connection. When reasoning feels weak, I deploy challenges. When the conversation is too comfortable or avoiding hard questions, I bring in provocations. When energy is low or the group is stuck in trade-off paralysis, I use inspiration to show possibility. When scope is too narrow, I use open interactions to expand what the dialogue considers.
I assess dialogue health every few turns using `dialogue-assess`. This prevents wasting time on conversations that have stopped being productive. The assessment tells me whether to continue, intervene, or move to synthesis. I trust the diagnostic framework: divergent dialogue needs connection, healthy tension should continue, stagnant dialogue needs disruption, premature convergence needs challenge.

## What This Command Does

You describe a topic or problem, and the system identifies what kinds of expertise the conversation needs, synthesizes those experts as distinct personas, and orchestrates a multi-turn dialogue where they build on, challenge, and refine each other's thinking.
The dialogue runs autonomously through multiple turns with the system managing speaker sequencing, interaction types, and conversation flow. You trust the process rather than steering each turn. The system escalates to you only at genuine epistemic forks - fundamental disagreements where human judgment determines which direction matters more.
What emerges is not forced consensus but synthesized understanding. Agreements reveal shared ground across different value systems. Tensions surface genuine trade-offs that can't be resolved through more discussion. Emergent insights arise from the interaction itself, producing understanding that no single expert could reach alone.
## How It Works
When you use `/confer [your topic]`, Claude will:
1. **Analyze the topic** - Examine what the question or problem needs from expertise. Different topics benefit from different combinations of technical knowledge, domain experience, and value perspectives. The analysis identifies which 3-4 expert viewpoints would create productive tension.
2. **Synthesize expert personas** - Use `persona-synthesize` to generate distinct experts tailored to this specific topic. 4. **Orchestrate multi-turn conversation** - Use `dialogue-turn` repeatedly to let personas engage with each other. ## What This Command Does
This command provides the most direct path to expert insight. You describe a problem or topic, and the system analyzes what expertise would be most valuable, generates that expert, and delivers their perspective on your situation.
The consultation is focused and complete rather than an extended dialogue. You receive expert analysis shaped by the specific knowledge, experience, and values that serve your problem best, along with explicit acknowledgment of what this expert's perspective naturally overlooks.
## How It Works
When you use `/consult [your topic]`, Claude will:
1. **Analyze your problem** - Examine the nature of your question to understand what kind of expertise would serve it best. The problem itself reveals what knowledge, experience, and values would be most valuable.
2. **Synthesize ideal expert** - Use `persona-synthesize` to generate the perfect consultant for this specific situation rather than reaching for predefined expert types. The expertise is shaped to match your problem's unique characteristics.
3. **Deliver expert analysis** - Provide consultation from the synthesized expert's perspective, thinking through your problem using their frameworks, priorities, and knowledge. The analysis emerges from genuinely adopting their viewpoint rather than describing what they might say.
4. **Acknowledge blind spots** - Explicitly recognize what this expert's perspective naturally overlooks or undervalues. Every expertise creates blind spots, and acknowledging them makes the consultation more useful.

## When to Use This Command
