Quick Guidelines

  • Use imperative mood: "Add" not "Added"
  • Be specific: "Fix memory leak in parser" not "Fix bug"
  • Scope is optional but helpful: feat(auth): ... or just feat: ...
  • Keep summary under 72 characters
  • Add body with bullets for complex changes
